Irrigation Technician

Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform all tasks related to irrigation from startup to winterization and the maintenance in between

Must be able to take direction, support, and communicate with others in a positive and patient manner

Ensure proper procedures, processes and quality of work are followed and achieved

Understand and meet production and project schedule deadlines without sacrificing quality of work

Safely use a wide variety of tools and equipment

Maintain and care for company equipment, tools and vehicles
-
Maintain a clean and orderly job site including the office, yard, and company vehicles
-
Follow all job site and vehicle safety procedures

Attend training classes and seminars as requested by Branch Management
Required Skills/Abilities:
-
Experience in irrigation is required for this position
-
Irrigation system wire troubleshooting, including 2 wire systems
-
Experience with soil moisture and ET based systems
-
Self-motivated, positive attitude and able to problem solve

Well-rounded background in irrigation repair and installation

Professional in appearance and actions

Ability to communicate with and provide excellent customer service to our clients

Detail oriented and quality driven

Must be well organized with an ability to multi-task

Maintain a safe work environment

Must have reliable transportation to and from our shop in Belmont, MA and must be willing to work extended hours and weekends
Education and Experience/ Licenses:
-
2+ years of irrigation experience required
-
Experience in safe use of various types of power equipment required

Valid MA Driver’s License with clean driving record required

DOT medical card a plus
-
Landscape/Irrigation industry certifications are a huge plus
Pay Range: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour depending upon experience
