Our private dental practice continues to grow! We're a thriving and fast moving office looking to hire an experienced dental assistant. Candidates with at least 3 years of full cosmetic and/or general dental assisting experience is preferred. Our business hours are M/T/TH 7-3, Wed. 7-5, *Fri. 7-1 (during our current remodeling). Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during various procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and maintaining aseptic techniques in accordance with infection control standards.
- Take and develop dental X-rays and utilize advanced imaging tools such as 3D scanners to aid in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix or Epic, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Educate patients on dental procedures, post-treatment care, and oral hygiene practices using clear dental terminology to enhance understanding.
- Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment while adhering to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques at all times.
Requirements
- Proven experience working as a Dental Assistant within a clinical setting, preferably with exposure to general dentistry, pediatrics, prosthodontics, or endodontics.
- Proficiency with EMR systems such as Dentrix or Epic; experience with Eaglesoft is a plus.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to medical records confidentiality and data security.
- Familiarity with dental radiography including X-ray procedures and the use of 3D scanners for detailed imaging.
- Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques.
- Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently while supporting multiple specialties like pediatric dentistry or prosthodontics.
- Excellent communication skills suitable for interacting with diverse patient populations including pediatric patients.

Pay: $24.00 - $28.88 per hour
