Spa Guest Service Associate at East Village Spa
East Village Spa seeks a self-motivated and highly organized individual with customer service & computer skills to join our Guest Service Associate team.

Guest Service Associates work alongside the Spa Owner, Assistant Manager, and administrative team to provide detail-oriented scheduling and exceptional guest service at the front desk as well as assisting with varied behind-the-scenes tasks that are essential to caring for our guests. Our GSAs are tasked with creating the welcoming environment that our guests and team members expect and deserve.
Before applying please note: The hours for this position will include some Saturday and evening hours, with a minimum of every other Saturday from 9:15 am-4:45pm and some weekdays until 8:15 pm. This position is not a path to a service provider role at our spa. We're seeking someone with a passion for hospitality and organization and seek a long-term fit.
Qualifications:
- Natural warmth and a gift for hospitality, in person, over the phone, and through written communcation.
- 1-2 years full-time experience in customer-facing roles
- Cash handling experience
- Confidence with appointment scheduling software and Google Workspace, especially Docs and Sheets
- Creative problem solving and ability to prioritize tasks when faced with multiple guest and service provider needs at once.
- Flexibility when unpredictable issues arise that derail the even the best planned to-do list.
- Attention to detail to ensure that appointments are correctly booked, and orders and inventory are accurate, and the physical environment of the spa is clean and welcoming.
- Maintain confidentiality with sensitive information
- Ability to attend scheduled shifts punctually and reliably
- Empathy and compassion for guests experiencing pain and stress, a main reason people seek services at East Village Spa.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Create a first impression that shows guests they are welcome and valued, whether on the phone, in written communication, or in person
- Schedule and adjust appointments via phone, e-mail, text, and our online booking system.
- Prioritizing diverse tasks including last-minute and time-sensitive assignments as varied as taking inventory of products, to helping a clean a room for a service provider who is running behind.
- Become an expert in our product lines and services to best advise guests and answer questions.
- On opening shifts, being the first one at the spa and ensuring rooms and common spaces are on and ready for providers and guests
- On closing shifts, ensure that the spa is closed and locked at night, with all rooms and equipment safely shut down.
- Receive, unpack, price, count, and stock retail inventory orders.
Hours:
- 35-40 hours/week, schedule will be varied but can be set at least 2 months in advance.
- Some weekday closing shifts end as late as 8:15 pm, some weekday morning shifts start as early as 9:15 am.
- Minimum of every other Saturday (9 :15am-4:45pm)
