The Organization:
The Wisco Project is Wisconsin’s largest, scrappiest youth vote organization. We run large-scale organizing and digital programming to reach and mobilize young people across the state. In 2026, we will work to expand our youth coalitions, strengthen youth political power, and score progressive victories for young people across the state. This will be a crucial year for Wisconsin and we are in need of talented, dedicated staff ready to take on this challenge with us!
What Will You Do?
We are looking for Youth Communities Organizers to help execute our largest effort yet to push beyond college campuses and build inroads with young workers, young parents, and other youth communities. Youth Communities Organizers should be passionate about finding creative ways to politically engage young people and building youth political power. The role will start this summer and will run through at least November 15, 2026, with a strong possibility of extension. This position will be based in Wisconsin and will require a significant amount of in-person work. Current areas of focus include: Neenah, Menasha, De Pere, and Suburban Milwaukee County.
Youth Communities Organizers will report to the Youth Communities Director and work to:
- Contribute to the development and execution of original programming designed to reach and engage young people in key areas
- Recruit and work with volunteers and fellows to advance organizing priorities
- Plan and execute events designed to creatively engage young Wisconsinites
- Implement voter contact tactics consistent with program priorities
- All other duties as assigned
Who Are You?
A successful candidate for this role will have:
- 1-2 years of combined political, labor, and/or community organizing experience is preferred but not required
- Creative and flexible disposition — ready to try new approaches
- Intuitive understanding of young people in targeted areas
- Willingness to directly engage hundreds, if not thousands, of young people
- Strong familiarity with VAN, relational organizing tools preferred but not required
- Strong sense of ambition and internal motivation
Job Details: The salary range for this role is $5,000 month plus benefits. This is a full time role.
