Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Experienced Carpenter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing a wide range of carpentry tasks with precision and efficiency, ensuring that all projects meet quality standards and safety regulations. Your expertise will contribute to residential and commercial construction, remodeling, restoration, and custom woodworking projects. Responsibilities
- Interpret and follow detailed construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute carpentry tasks.
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install various wood and other construction materials using hand tools, power tools for woodworking, and woodworking machines.
- Perform framing, trim carpentry, door hanging, cabinet installation, siding, roofing, flooring installation, tile laying, and stucco application with precision.
- Conduct restoration work including plastering, rebar installation, mold remediation, and renovation of existing structures to restore their original integrity.
- Safely operate power tools such as saws, drills, sanders, and other equipment while adhering to power tool safety protocols.
- Assist with construction estimating by assessing project requirements and materials needed for efficient project planning.
- Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining high safety standards on-site.
- Handle heavy lifting tasks and perform demolition or removal of old fixtures as necessary for remodeling or restoration projects.
- Install fixtures such as cabinets, doors, moldings, siding panels, and other custom features to meet client specifications.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in residential carpentry or general construction with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and interpreting technical drawings accurately.
- Skilled in using hand tools (hammers, chisels), power tools for woodworking (saws, drills), and operating woodworking machines safely.
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes to assist in project planning and resource allocation.
- Familiarity with various wood construction materials including framing lumber, siding materials, trim components, and specialty woods.
- Experience with roofing systems, stucco application, plastering techniques, rebar installation, flooring installation, tile laying, and fixture installation.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the workday.
- Strong understanding of power tool safety practices combined with a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of carpentry work.
- Prior experience in restoration industry projects or remodeling is highly desirable.
