Job Overview
The Physical Education Teacher fosters the physical, social, and moral development of students by promoting lifelong fitness, sportsmanship, teamwork, and healthy habits. As a member of a Catholic school community, the teacher is expected to integrate Gospel values and Catholic teachings into the curriculum and serve as a positive role model for students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and developmentally appropriate P.E. lessons for students in grades K-8.
- Promote physical fitness, motor skill development, and knowledge of rules and strategies for a variety of sports and activities.
- Ensure student safety through proper supervision and instruction in physical activity.
- Teach and model good sportsmanship, teamwork, respect, and fair play.
- Encourage positive student behavior and manage classroom discipline in alignment with school policies.
- Assess and document student progress through observations, skill assessments, and grading.
- Coordinate or assist with school-wide events such as Field Day and other wellness initiatives.
- Maintain gym equipment.
- Participate in faculty meetings, school-wide professional development, and faith-based activities.
- Uphold and model the values, teachings, and traditions of the Catholic faith.
Candidates MUST be a practicing Catholic. Documentation from registered parish will be required.

Pay: $23,000.00 - $32,000.00 per year
