Duties
- Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams accurately
- Use hand tools and power tools safely to perform conduit bending, wiring, and other electrical tasks
- Support the installation of low voltage systems and ensure compliance with NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association standards) and NEC (National Electrical Code) requirements
- Follow strict electrical safety procedures and safety protocol adherence at all times during daily tasks
- Conduct basic troubleshooting using tools like ohmmeters to test electrical circuits and components
- Help maintain detailed records of work performed and assist in site cleanup and organization
Experience
- Prior experience or exposure to industrial or construction site electrical work is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
- Familiarity with commercial electrical systems, conduit bending, wiring techniques, and blueprint reading is advantageous
- Hands-on experience with power tools, hand tools, and electrical testing equipment such as ohmmeters is beneficial
- Knowledge of NFPA 70 compliance standards and NEC guidelines is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to follow safety procedures rigorously on construction sites or similar environments
- Strong interest in developing expertise in low voltage systems, electrical blueprint interpretation, and overall electrical work within a construction setting
