Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Carpenter/Deck Builder with mid-level experience to join our construction team. This role involves building and installing structures such as decks, pergolas, porches. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in carpentry techniques, safety protocols, and the ability to work efficiently on various construction sites. This position offers opportunities for skill development across multiple facets of construction.
Responsibilities
- Building residential decks and outdoor structures
- Perform framing, decking installation, railing systems, and finish work
- Safely use power tools and jobsite equipment
- Maintain clean, organized, and professional job sites
- Follow plans, specifications, and direction from the Lead Carpenter
- Measure accurately and cut materials precisely for various carpentry tasks
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety guidelines and industry standards
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within scope
Requirements
- Understand basic floor systems
- Can safely and constantly cut accurately using circular saw & miter saw
- Can read blueprints
- Positive attitude
- Punctuality
- 3+ years of carpentry or construction experience
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites
- Strong attention to detail and respect for craftsmanship
- Ability to work efficiently and as part of a team
- Must provide a resume and references
- This role requires physical stamina for heavy lifting and working at heights or in confined spaces. Candidates should demonstrate a proactive attitude toward safety and quality workmanship.
