We are seeking a skilled and reliable Equipment Operator to join our dedicated team at Cascade Custom Construction, a premier custom home building company in Meridian, Idaho. The Equipment Operator will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a variety of construction equipment to assist in the development of high-quality custom homes, barndomimiums and Shops. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with our construction team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate construction equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, backhoes, skid steers, and loaders to prepare job sites for building activities.
- Follow project plans and specifications to ensure accurate site grading, excavation, and material placement.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of equipment to ensure safety and operational efficiency.
- Assist with site layout and grading to meet project requirements.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and OSHA regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
- Collaborate with project managers, carpenters, and other trades to coordinate work activities.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and daily progress.
- Report any equipment issues or safety concerns to supervisors promptly.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Equipment Operator in residential construction or similar field.
- Valid Idaho driver’s license and appropriate certification for operating heavy machinery.
- Knowledge of construction site safety standards and OSHA regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
- Physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with GPS and site layout tools.
- Familiarity with local building codes and regulations in Meridian, Idaho (Treasure Valley).
- Team player with good communication skills.
