Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual for a Part-Time School Cafeteria Position. This role is essential in providing nutritious meals to students while maintaining a welcoming and efficient dining environment. Included in this position will be assisting with food preparation, cooking and serving food for the purpose of feeding students and staff. Duties also include running cash register, dishwashing, and assisting with maintaining a clean and safe work environment
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve meals in accordance with established menus and dietary guidelines.
- Assist in the setup and cleanup of the kitchen before and after meal service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas, adhering to food safety protocols.
- Monitor food inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service to students, staff, and visitors in a friendly manner.
- Support dietary needs by offering help with meal selections when necessary.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy meal times.
Skills
- Experience in food handling, food preparation, or food service is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices is essential.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with students and staff.
- Previous experience as a dietary aide or in the hospitality industry is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A team-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills.
