Job Summary
We are seeking a full-time Optometrist to provide comprehensive eye care services to our patients. This role involves conducting eye examinations to detect and diagnose vision problems and other health conditions such as diabetes and hypertension. Current License as a therapeutically certified Doctor of Optometry in the State of Massachusetts and current CPR certification. Residency training or three years of experience as a practicing optometrist in a community setting. Must have strong knowledge of eye care practice and standards of care to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care; knowledge of the community we serve; ability to work effectively with health professionals at all levels in a collaborative team environment; effective communication and problem-solving skills.
Duties
- Develops personalized treatment plans and prescribe corrective solutions like eyeglasses or contact lenses, as well as medication for eye disorders.
- Plays a vital role in educating patients about proper eye care.
- Utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems for accurate documentation of patient histories, examination findings, and treatment plans.
- Delivers high-quality, pateint-centered care while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient confidentiality and medical records at all times.
- Qualifications:
- Current License as a therapeutically certified Doctor of Optometry in the State of Massachusetts and current CPR certification.
- Residency training or three years of experience as a practicing optometrist in a community setting.
- Must have strong knowledge of eye care practice and standards of care to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care; knowledge of the community we serve; ability to work effectively with health professionals at all levels in a collaborative team environment.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for efficient record-keeping and documentation.
- Knowledge of disease state management including glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and other ocular conditions.
- Excellent client communication and problem solvng skills with a focus on delivering exceptional patient care and customer service.
Pay: $120,000.00 - $155,000.00 per year
