Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and caring Activities Assistant to join our team! In this role, you will design and facilitate engaging activities that promote social interaction, mental stimulation, and overall well-being for our residents. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help create a lively, inclusive atmosphere where residents feel empowered and connected.
Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and lead a variety of recreational activities tailored to residents’ interests and abilities
- Foster an engaging environment by encouraging participation in group events and individual activities
- Support residents with intellectual disabilities and neurodevelopmental disorders through personalized activity plans
- Ensure safety during activities by applying first aid and CPR procedures when necessary
- Collaborate with staff and families to assess residents’ preferences and adapt activities accordingly
- Maintain activity logs, participation records, and communicate progress or concerns to the care team
- Assist with special events or outings that enhance residents’ quality of life
Requirements
- Experience supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders
- Prior experience working with underserved communities is highly desirable
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and engage diverse populations
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to improve residents’ daily experiences
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends or evenings as needed

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
