Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards across various subjects such as literacy, math, physical education, and arts.
- Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate some students with learning differences, while fostering an encouraging, Christ-centered learning enviroment where each student is valued and supported.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment.
- Utilize learning technology and instructional design techniques to enhance student engagement and understanding.
- Assess student progress through standardized testing, formative assessments, and individualized education plans (IEPs), adjusting instruction accordingly.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and specialists such as speech therapists or behavioral therapists to support student development.
- Mentor and guide students academically, socially, and spiritually while nurturing their overall well-being through compassionate support, wise guidance, and timely intervention when concerns arise.
Experience
- Prior classroom/subject experience in M/S & H/S education, particularly in a Christian or private school setting, is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, and instructional design tailored to diverse learners.
- Proven ability to work effectively with children of varying ages and developmental stages in inclusive environment.
- Strong communication skills for engaging students, collaborating with team members, and mentoring families.
- Knowledge of learning technology tools and methods for integrating digital resources into daily instruction when needed.
Pay: $21.94 - $30.00 per hour
