Close to Home Inc is seeking a dependable and caring Food Prep & Dining Assistant to join our assisted living team. This role focuses on preparing homemade-style desserts and serving meals to create a warm, enjoyable dining experience for our residents. Individual must be proficient in moving around the kitchen, apt in multi-tasking, and timely in the delivery of meals. Our residents greatly enjoy home cooked meals and desserts!

What You Will Do:

Prepare and portion desserts according to menu and dietary guidelines.
- Ensure meals are presented attractively and served at proper temperatures.
- Assist with meal setup, plating, and serving residents.
- Follow health and food safety guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, dining areas, and equipment.
- Assist with dishwashing and general kitchen duties.
- Work as part of a team to provide excellent service to residents.
Qualifications:

Proven working experience as a cook.
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to listen and communicate effectively.
- Empathy, Compassion and caring for clients.
