Responsibilities
- Supervise all kitchen activities, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation, ensuring consistency and excellence in every dish served
- Lead and motivate kitchen staff by providing clear direction, training, and support to enhance team performance and morale
- Oversee inventory management and control to minimize waste, optimize stock levels, and ensure timely procurement of ingredients
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety standards and sanitation regulations across all kitchen operations
- Coordinate with catering and banquet teams to plan menus that meet client specifications while managing food costs effectively
- Manage shift schedules, monitor labor costs, and ensure smooth workflow during busy service periods
- Implement quality control measures to uphold the restaurant’s reputation for fine dining excellence
Experience
- Proven supervising experience in a fast-paced culinary environment with a focus on fine dining or banquet services
- Extensive knowledge of food production techniques, menu planning, and food handling procedures
- Strong background in kitchen management including inventory control, food safety compliance, and cost management
- Experience in catering or large-scale event food service is highly desirable
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively and foster a collaborative work environment
- Familiarity with culinary arts, food industry standards, and hospitality best practices
- Prior experience in restaurant management or food service management roles is preferred
