Director of Strategic Partnerships Job Summary
Fuente Professional Institute is seeking an experienced, results-driven Director of Strategic Partnerships to lead our corporate outreach and business development efforts throughout the Omaha metropolitan area.
This senior leadership position is responsible for identifying, developing, and closing strategic corporate partnerships that expand Fuente's impact and drive organizational growth. The Director of Strategic Partnerships will own the partnership pipeline from prospecting through signed agreement while building long-term relationships with business leaders, nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, healthcare organizations, and community partners.
This role is designed for a proven business development professional who already possesses an established network of executive-level relationships within the Omaha business community and has a demonstrated history of generating new business through strategic partnerships.

Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate prospective corporate partners that align with Fuente Professional Institute's mission and long-term growth strategy.
- Generate new business opportunities through networking, referrals, cold outreach, LinkedIn, community engagement, business associations, and strategic relationship building.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified partnership opportunities.
- Lead discovery meetings to understand organizational challenges and recommend customized workforce development, leadership development, communication, and professional training solutions.
- Negotiate partnership agreements that create long-term value for both Fuente Professional Institute and our partner organizations.
- Develop strategic partnership plans with measurable revenue goals and key performance indicators.
- Collaborate with executive leadership, marketing, corporate trainers, and program staff to ensure successful implementation of partnership initiatives.
- Build trusted relationships with CEOs, Presidents, Executive Directors, HR Directors, Operations Leaders, Superintendents, and other executive decision-makers.
- Manage ongoing relationships with existing partners while identifying opportunities to expand services and increase organizational impact.
- Utilize CRM software to track partnership activity, manage sales pipelines, and generate reports that support strategic decision-making.
- Represent Fuente Professional Institute at Chamber of Commerce events, networking groups, conferences, business associations, and community organizations throughout Omaha.
- Coordinate joint marketing initiatives with strategic partners to maximize organizational visibility and engagement.
- Monitor partnership performance, maintain accurate records, and ensure fulfillment of partnership agreements.
- Provide executive leadership with market insights, partnership trends, and recommendations for future business development opportunities.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred in Business, Marketing, Communications, Education, Human Resources, or a related field. Masters degree preferred.
- Five or more years of successful experience in business development, strategic partnerships, enterprise sales, executive relationship management, or consultative B2B sales.
- Demonstrated success developing and managing strategic partnerships while consistently closing high-value business-to-business agreements.
- Experience selling professional services, consulting, workforce development, education, leadership development, HR solutions, or similar business services is highly preferred.
- An established professional network within the Omaha metropolitan business community is required.
- Candidates must have an existing book of business and professional network that includes executive-level decision-makers such as CEOs, Presidents, Executive Directors, HR Directors, Operations Leaders, or other senior leaders who can be contacted immediately to begin developing partnership opportunities.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, relationship-building, and communication skills.
- Experience using CRM platforms such as HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar systems.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple partnership opportunities simultaneously.
- Self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and highly accountable.
- Passion for workforce development, education, leadership development, and organizational growth.
Preferred Qualifications
- Existing relationships with business leaders throughout the Omaha metropolitan area.
- Demonstrated history of developing business through networking, referrals, community involvement, and strategic relationship building.
- Experience representing an organization at Chamber of Commerce events, professional associations, business networking groups, or community organizations.
- Familiarity with marketing strategies that support partnership development and business growth.
Success Metrics
Within the first 30 days, the Director of Strategic Partnerships will be expected to:
- Build an active pipeline of qualified partnership opportunities.
- Conduct partnership discovery meetings with executive decision-makers.
- Submit customized partnership proposals.
- Successfully close 3–5 corporate partnership agreements.
- Develop strategic referral relationships with local businesses and community organizations throughout the Omaha metropolitan area.
- Maintain accurate CRM reporting and partnership activity metrics.
Interview Process
This is a senior business development leadership position.
Candidates should be prepared to discuss their existing professional network, business development strategy, and partnership experience during the interview process.
As part of the interview process, finalists will be asked to demonstrate the strength of their professional network by discussing existing executive-level relationships, current business development opportunities, and how they would leverage those connections to begin generating partnership meetings upon joining Fuente Professional Institute.
