Whether providing tailored recommendations for milestones like engagements, birthdays, and anniversaries or managing transactions, you'll play a key part in making every visit memorable and enjoyable. Duties
- Greet customers warmly and engage them with friendly, professional communication
- Assist customers in selecting jewelry pieces that match their preferences and needs
- Handle retail sales transactions accurately using Edge POS (Point of Sale) system
- Meet or exceed personal and store sales quotas by effectively communicating the features and benefits of merchandise, extended service plans and financing options
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of diamonds (the "4 C's), precious metals, gemstones, and watch bands to educate customers
- Assist with inventory counts and repair intake paperwork
- Ensure the jewelry display cases are clean, organized, and appealing at all times
- Build a book of loyal customers by following up on past purchases, notifying them of upcoming sales, or inviting them to special trunk shows
Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous retail sales experience, preferably 1-3 years in jewelry, accessories, or luxury
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership and team collaboration skills
- Familiarity with POS systems and retail transactions. Edge POS experience is a plus
- Strong communication skills with a positive attitude and a competitive drive to succeed in a small but growing jewelry store
- Must be comfortable with standing for long periods of time
- Availability to work flexible retail hours. Store is open from 10-5 Tues-Fri, 10-3 Sat
