Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repair, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service. This role involves working on various vehicles,and requires proficiency in using hand tools and understanding schematics. The Automotive Technician will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring that all work meets dealership standards.This is a flat rate position .
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair automotive issues using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques.
- Perform maintenance tasks including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
- Align wheels and ensure proper transmission functionality.
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify potential problems.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding repair needs and recommendations.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow in the shop.
- Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques.
Skills
- Proficient in automotive diagnostics with experience in troubleshooting various vehicle systems.
- Strong understanding of schematics related to automotive systems.
- Experience working at a dealership is preferred but not required.
- Excellent customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients about their vehicle needs.
- Ability to use hand tools safely and effectively for repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Knowledge of diesel engine repair is a plus.
- Familiarity with GM vehicles is advantageous but not mandatory.
