A Speech Pathologist evaluates patients to determine the causes and effects of various speech, language, cognitive-communication , and swallowing disorders that affect patients. They investigate communications disorders and often different kinds of behaviors that manifest with communication difficulties. The Speech Pathologist in this role will care for pediatric patients ranging from the ag es o f 18 months – 8 years . You will work with children with augmentative needs and a variety of genetic and congenital needs, including Autism .
A caregiver in this position works Tuesday: Float Day working 8:00am-6:30pm (Float location depends on PTO, LOA, Patient scheduling etc.) Wednesday (at Stow) 8:00am-6:30pm. May be assigned at CCCHR locations including Beachwood, Medina, Cleveland, Middleburg Heights, Stow-Falls and Westlake.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Determine therapeutic plans, including the need for therapy, frequency of treatment, focus for intervention, prognosis and duration of therapy.
