About the Role
OraHealth is seeking a skilled and compassionate Endodontist to join our growing multi-clinic practice. This is an on-site position based in the Municipality of Juncos, Puerto Rico, with the flexibility of a part-time or full-time schedule.
The Endodontist will serve as the specialty referral resource for our general dentists, focusing on diagnosis and treatment of pulpal and periapical disease, management of orofacial pain of odontogenic origin, and tooth retention through non-surgical and surgical endodontic therapy. This is a strong fit for a specialist who wants a steady internal referral base without the administrative burden of running a practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform non-surgical root canal therapy across anterior, premolar, and molar teeth, including complex canal anatomy and calcified cases.
- Perform endodontic retreatment, including post and separated-instrument removal and management of previously treated teeth.
- Diagnose and differentiate odontogenic from non-odontogenic orofacial pain; conduct pulp vitality and periapical testing and interpret findings.
- Manage traumatic dental injuries, cracked tooth syndrome, vital pulp therapy, and endodontic emergencies.
- Assess restorability and coordinate the definitive restorative plan with the referring general dentist.
- Communicate treatment outcomes, prognosis, and recall recommendations back to referring providers in a timely, documented manner.
- Collaborate with dental assistants, hygienists, and administrative staff to support efficient scheduling, case flow, and patient experience.
- Maintain continuing education and stay current on advancements in endodontic techniques, materials, and technology.
Qualifications
Required
- DDS or DMD from an accredited institution.
- Certificate of completion from an accredited postgraduate residency program in Endodontics (CODA-accredited or recognized equivalent).
- Current, valid general dentistry license in Puerto Rico, with specialty registration in Endodontics.
- Current BLS certification.
- Active credentialing — or willingness to credential — with local dental and medical insurance plans. (We provide full administrative support through the enrollment process.)
- Professional fluency in Spanish and English.
- Current professional liability (malpractice) coverage.
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive compensation based on a percentage of daily production, with earnings tied directly to case volume and complexity / optionality for a W2 employment with fringe benefits.
- Established internal referral pipeline from OraHealth's general dentists — no marketing or patient acquisition required on your part.
- Flexible scheduling, including part-time arrangements for specialists maintaining an existing practice.
- Administrative, billing, and insurance credentialing handled by our team.
- Clinical support staff and materials provided.
