Blue Poppy Enterprises (www.bluepoppy.com) is looking for a health conscious, highly motivated, and hard-working, full-time warehouse/shipping employee at our main importing warehouse in SE Portland. We pride ourselves on having the best customer service in our industry and are looking for someone who knows that taking care of your customers is the key to a successful business.
This is a full-time, 40 hours a week position that includes a competitive hourly wage based on experience.
After 90 days a job candidate will be eligible for benefits including paid time off, sick leave, and health benefits.
Job duties will include, but may not be limited to, the following:
- Providing superior customer service to our customer base
- Responsible for processing and managing all orders
- Handling returns
- Correctly pulling and boxing orders, affixing of shipping labels
- Counting inventory
- Restocking inventory
- Other miscellaneous warehouse responsibilities such as topical production and granule fulfilling
- Occasionally taking phone orders
- Assisting the manager daily as requested
Successful candidates will have:
- A history of stable work employment
- Experience in a shipping warehouse environment, and possess a positive, upbeat 'can do' attitude
- The ability to perform the physical demands of the work. This includes prolonged standing, bending, pushing, pulling, lifting up to 50+ pounds, transport and climbing
- An "attention to detail" type of personality
- A high school degree or equivalent at a minimum
- Ability to work Monday-Friday between the hours of 9 am and 5 pm
- A knowledge of Chinese Herbs and Pin Yin will have priority in candidate selection
We are looking for a stable, long-term employee who will report directly to the warehouse manager.
This is a friendly, comfortable, fun place to work offering a wage of $20 per hour depending on experience.
