Summary/objective:
The Production Superintendent is responsible for leading day to day agricultural production activities across assigned acreage, ensuring operational excellence, labor efficiency, and high-quality crop outcomes. This role oversees field crews, coordinates equipment and resource allocation between other Production Superintendents, and partners closely with Harvest, Production Management, and vendors to maintain alignment across the operation.
The Superintendent serves as a frontline leader: driving performance, enforcing standards, and ensuring that all production activities are executed safely, efficiently, and consistently.

- Direct daily field activities including tillage scheduling, cultivation, irrigation, drip tape management, and equipment movement to ensure timely and accurate execution.
- Supervise, train, and coach field employees; set expectations; monitor productivity; and ensure adherence to SOPs.
- Implement weekly and seasonal planting schedules; verify acreage accuracy; communicate progress and issues to the planting department and other team members.
- Assign tractors, implements, and support equipment; ensure proper maintenance reporting; minimize downtime with the help of a tractor foreman.
· Execute production trials according to approved trial request forms; ensure accurate data collection and timely reporting.
- Enforce safety protocols, conduct tailgate meetings, and ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- Maintain strong communication with Harvest, Production Management, and outside vendors to ensure alignment on crop readiness, field conditions, and operational needs.
- Forecast labor, equipment, and material needs; identify constraints early; propose solutions to better use resources within the production department.
- Monitor field conditions, crop health, and operational quality; escalate issues promptly.
- Identify inefficiencies, propose process improvements, and support implementation of new technologies or techniques.
· This position requires regular driving as an essential job function in overseeing and coordinating various aspects of the Production process

Required education and experience:
- 2–7 years in production agriculture, preferably in row crops or vegetable production
- Proven ability to lead crews, train employees, and maintain accountability.
- Understanding of planting, irrigation, cultivation, soil conditions, and equipment operation.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, schedules, and priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Clear, concise communication with cross‑functional teams.
- Ability to diagnose field issues and implement practical solutions
- Must be bilingual in English and Spanish, or committed to developing bilingual proficiency to support crew communication.
Preferred education and experience:
· Bachelor's degree or a related field
· PCA & CCA Licenses strongly encouraged

$120k – 200k
Pay: $120,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
