We are currently assisting our client, an industrial manufacturer, with a Procurement Manager search in the Cleveland, OH area.
Responsibilities:
- Leverage expertise in data mining, analysis, and reporting to enhance procurement processes and bolster financial forecasting initiatives.
- Lead cyclical sourcing activities, including mid-contract negotiations and vendor/subcontract sourcing for Requests for Quotes (RFQs), ensuring competitive pricing and optimal supplier selection.
- Develop and implement cost-saving projects while spearheading continuous improvement efforts aimed at reducing the cost of goods sold.
- Manage key supplier relationships by ensuring timely communication and promptly addressing performance issues to achieve inventory and supply chain objectives.
- Oversee an inventory stocking program that enhances supply security and reduces lead times for customers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales and finance, to align procurement strategies with revenue goals and overall business objectives.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in international sourcing and purchasing within a manufacturing environment, particularly in the adhesives, tapes, films, or labels sectors.
- Experience with CRM software
- Experience with supplier evaluations
- Experience leading and developing a team
