Job Title: AV Technician
Location: Salt Lake City, UT
Pay: $28-35/HR
Shift: Monday-Friday, 1st shift. Some travel and OT as needed. 90% in SLC>
Contract to hire: 4 months
Training info: will need to have a laptop & phone to complete training from home. This training takes a day to complete and they will be paid minimum wage during this time. They will follow along with the Safety Manager to complete the training together.
Experience/S.o.W:
A/V installations throughout high end commericial/data center projects.
- Perform all types of wiring/cabling terminations
- Installation and integration of projectors, speakers, and microphones
- Experience with Crestron, BiAmp, AMX, or Extron is a big plus
Need to have clean BG/DS
Duties Include:
- Perform Installation, programming and troubleshooting of AV systems.
- Attend internal and project specific meetings as needed.
- Keep detailed project notes and provide status updates to internal operations team and outside project teams or clients as required.
- Potential to supervise small onsite install teams on project-by-project basis.
- Assist/develop project close outs consisting of As-builts and customer facing “user guides” and or training videos.
- Training of end users on use of project specific AV equipment.
Ideal candidate will possess:
- Ability to install and some programing one or more AV control systems such as Crestron, Extron, AMX or Control 4.
- Basic understanding of IT networking common practices and their application in AV systems.
- Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, line drawings and specifications.
- Open to taking strong cable techs that have some AV exp.
