Duties
- Receive, unload, and organize shipments using equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts, adhering to safe lifting practices.
- Operate RF scanners to accurately track inventory movements and update stock records in real-time.
- Stock shelves efficiently, ensuring products are properly labeled, rotated, and displayed according to merchandising standards.
- Conduct regular inventory control checks to identify discrepancies and assist with cycle counts or audits.
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes by loading and unloading trucks, verifying shipments against purchase orders.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the warehouse and stock areas to promote safety and efficiency.
- Support retail store functions by packaging products, replenishing stock on sales floors, and providing excellent customer service when needed.
- Use warehouse operation equipment such as material handling tools and forklifts safely to move heavy or bulky items.
- Communicate effectively with team members across departments in multiple languages if applicable to ensure smooth operations.
- Participate in merchandising efforts by organizing stock displays and ensuring product knowledge is up-to-date for customer assistance.
Experience
- Prior warehouse experience or retail store experience is highly preferred; familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus.
- Experience operating material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or RF scanners is advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate stock control and inventory management.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting while following safe lifting practices.
- Excellent communication skills in multiple languages are beneficial for engaging with diverse teams and customers.
- Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and performing retail math calculations accurately.
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining safety standards.
