Step into an impactful role supporting students as a school-based Physical Therapist near Saint Augustine, FL. This full-time, onsite maternity coverage contract position offers you the chance to work with K-12th grade students and provide ongoing care and rehabilitation to help them thrive in their educational environment. This assignment runs from August 4, 2026, through December 18, 2026, with a schedule of five 8-hour days each week. As an integral member of the educational team, you’ll collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families to create supportive environments where every student can reach their potential.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Physical Therapist license in the state of Florida
- Previous experience in a school setting (K-12) preferred, but strong new grads encouraged to apply
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate with IEP teams and tailor therapy plans to individual student needs
- Commitment to fostering inclusion and accessibility in the school environment
Responsibilities:
- Conducting assessments and developing individualized treatment plans for students with diverse needs
- Delivering direct therapy sessions and supporting teacher/staff training as needed
- Maintaining accurate documentation of progress and adapting interventions as required
- Engaging with families and school staff to promote student progress and success
