Skillforce has teamed up with a leading electrical company to find a skilled Electrical Superintendent to work on commercial and data center projects from start to finish.
This is a full-time position with projects in the Midwest region of the US.
Electrical Superintendent Compensation & Benefits

Salary plus OT: Up to $85/hr with consistent OT, typically 60 hours per week

Per Diem: $195/day if traveling

Electrical Superintendent Key Responsibilities

Direct field operations for electrical installation, startup, testing, and system commissioning activities.

Lead and mentor field supervisors, electricians, and trade partners to ensure efficient project execution.

Coordinate labor distribution, equipment usage, and daily staffing to support project schedules.

Promote a safe work environment by enforcing company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and applicable electrical regulations.

Monitor completed and ongoing work to ensure it meets quality expectations, contract documents, and code requirements.

Collaborate with project management, engineering teams, and other trades to resolve field issues and maintain project progress.

Interpret construction documents, project schedules, and material takeoffs to support successful field execution.

Organize daily work activities, delegate responsibilities, and drive productivity across multiple crews.

Coach and develop field personnel by providing technical direction, performance feedback, and hands-on support.

Identify installation challenges, implement practical solutions, and communicate project updates, risks, and recommendations to leadership.

Verify that electrical systems—including power distribution, lighting, controls, fire alarm, instrumentation, and associated equipment—are installed in accordance with design specifications, company procedures, and industry best practices.
Electrical Superintendent Qualifications

South Dakota Journeyman or Master Electrical License
-
5+ years of electrical field supervision experience

Data center experience

Strong knowledge of electrical construction methods, scheduling, and safety regulations.

Proven ability to lead and manage crews effectively.

Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Valid driver’s license and clean MVR required.
