Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Grading or Utility Foreman to oversee and manage construction projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to read blueprints and plans. This role requires a hands-on approach, ensuring that all work is completed safely, on time, and within budget while maintaining high-quality standards.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of construction crews on-site.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and OSHA standards at all times.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and project specifications to guide work processes.
- Utilize construction management software such as ProCore and HCSS for project tracking and reporting.
- Conduct regular inspections of work performed to ensure quality control and adherence to contract specifications.
- Collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth project execution.
- Train and mentor crew members in best practices for construction techniques and safety protocols.
- Address any issues or conflicts that arise on-site promptly and effectively.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Grading and Utility Foreman or in a similar supervisory role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and legal regulations.
- Proficiency in using construction management software (e.g., ProCore, HCSS).
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams effectively.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Valid certifications related to OSHA standards are highly desirable.
