About the Role
As a Precision Manual Machinist, you will play a critical role in the repair, overhaul, and maintenance of large-scale industrial vacuum pumps and compressor components. You will leverage your technical expertise to ensure high-precision outcomes, contributing directly to the operational efficiency and reliability of our mission-critical equipment.
Responsibilities-
Perform complex setups and operations on large vertical and horizontal lathes to restore industrial pump components.

Interpret detailed blueprints and technical drawings to achieve tight tolerances as precise as .0005”.

Select optimal cutting tools, speeds, and feeds to ensure superior surface finishes and component integrity.

Execute safe rigging and lifting of heavy components to assist in the disassembly and rebuilding of large-scale machinery.

Operate forklifts and overhead cranes in accordance with strict safety and quality management protocols.

Utilize precision measuring instruments, including micrometers, bore gauges, and dial indicators, to verify critical dimensions.

Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot mechanical issues using structured problem-solving methods.
Qualifications-
3+ years of professional experience as a machinist or machine operator.

Demonstrated proficiency in reading and interpreting complex blueprints and technical schematics.

Minimum 1+ year of hands-on experience with king-style boring mills or vertical turret lathes (VTL).

Strong working knowledge of machine controls, offset adjustments, and tool selection.

Ability to perform unit conversions and manage multiple technical variables simultaneously.

High school diploma, GED, or relevant technical certification.

Advanced experience with manual machining on Cincinnati or King brand equipment.

Proven track record of maintaining high-quality standards in a fast-paced industrial environment.
