ISC is currently looking for an Estimator to join our team and assist us in continuing a 46-year tradition of delivering quality driven construction projects in the industrial water and wastewater market. As ISC has been under a steady growth pattern, we are looking for a team member who is motivated by opportunity and willing to take ownership of their responsibilities as we scale into the next phase of the company’s growth.
This key position will be a critical part of our growing team and help shape the projects we approach, bid, and build. The estimator will be responsible for determining the total cost and timeline of bidding opportunities by analyzing drawings, specifications, performing quantity takeoffs, calculating material quantities, estimating labor and equipment costs, and soliciting subcontractor quotes. Key duties will include quantity takeoffs, cost analysis, subcontractor coordination, value engineering, risk assessments, schedule development, and bid submissions. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem solving, working through project details, and helping turn opportunities into successful construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
· Quantity Takeoffs: Analyzing technical drawings and blueprints to measure, calculate, and list every material required for the project.
· Cost Analysis: Estimating costs for materials, labor, equipment, site conditions, and permits to produce a comprehensive project budget.
· Subcontractor Coordination: Soliciting and evaluating quotes from vendors and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing.
· Value Engineering: Collaborating with project managers to identify alternative materials or construction methods that reduce costs without sacrificing quality.
· Risk Assessment: Evaluating project specific risks, cost escalation, regulatory requirements, weather impacts, and scope gaps. and building contingencies into the estimate.
· Bidding and Tendering: Submitting competitive bids for projects, which is critical to winning new work.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
· Experience: Proven experience as an estimator, preferably with a mechanical background.
· Education: A bachelor’s degree is desired, but a combination of experience and education will be considered.
· Technical Knowledge: Understanding of construction materials, techniques, and processes.
· Software Skills: Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, SAGE) preferred.

Pay: $61,208.05 - $73,712.91 per year
