At Valley Presbyterian Hospital, our surgical team is dedicated to delivering safe, high-quality care. We’re seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist II to support the OR team before, during, and after procedures while maintaining sterile technique and ensuring equipment readiness.
What You’ll Do
- Scrub and assist during surgical procedures in the operating room
- Prepare and maintain sterile fields, instruments, and surgical equipment
- Anticipate surgeon and team needs during procedures
- Ensure strict adherence to aseptic technique and infection control standards
- Prepare appropriate instruments and supplies based on surgical procedures
- Assist with patient preparation and support during perioperative care
- Maintain and monitor surgical equipment and report any issues
- Complete required documentation, logs, and quality reports
- Support patient safety, comfort, and privacy throughout the surgical process
- Participate in quality improvement and regulatory compliance initiatives
What You Bring
- 1+ year of recent acute care experience as a Surgical Technologist preferred
- Strong knowledge of OR procedures, instrumentation, and sterile technique
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment
- Strong attention to detail and patient safety
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program
- Current Surgical Technologist Certification (CST)
- AHA BLS certification
- Ability to obtain LA City Fire Card within 30 days
