Overview
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the face of our store, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers. Your ability to engage with customers, understand their needs, and promote our products will be key to your success in this position.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store.
- Provide knowledgeable product demonstrations to enhance customer understanding and satisfaction.
- Process transactions accurately using the Point of Sale (POS) system and cash register.
- Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, ensuring products are well-stocked and displayed attractively.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure a positive shopping experience.
- Assist in supervising junior staff members, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Perform basic math calculations for transactions and inventory management.
- Uphold company policies regarding phone etiquette when interacting with customers over the phone.
Skills
- Proven experience in retail sales with a strong focus on customer service.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse customers.
- Familiarity with product demonstrations and the ability to convey product benefits clearly.
- Strong phone etiquette skills for handling customer inquiries professionally.
- Experience in supervising or mentoring staff is a plus.
- Ability to sell products effectively while maintaining a friendly demeanor.
- Proficiency in operating cash registers and POS systems efficiently.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory counts.
- Previous experience in a grocery store setting is advantageous but not required.
