Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Water Feature & Pond Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role offers 30-40 hours per week and involves hands-on maintenance and repair of water features, ponds, and related equipment. The ideal candidate will be energetic, reliable, and possess a strong mechanical aptitude to ensure the optimal functioning and aesthetic appeal of aquatic installations. Duties
- Clean ponds, fountains, and water features
- Perform routine pond maintenance and water quality checks
- Inspect pumps, filters, plumbing, and equipment
- Install and remove seasonal leaf nets
- Assist with pond closings and winterization
- Support spring openings and cleanouts
- Provide friendly, professional on‑site customer service
- Assist with additional pond or landscaping tasks as needed
- Follow safety protocols during all maintenance activities to ensure personal safety and environmental protection
- Document maintenance activities and report any issues or repairs needed for timely resolution
Qualifications
- Reliable, punctual, and willing to work outdoors in all weather
- Able to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor
- Valid and clean driver’s license and dependable transportation
- Chauffeur's license required within two weeks of employment, Poseidon will reimburse this cost
- Positive, respectful attitude and willingness to learn
- Experience in landscaping, construction, or maintenance is helpful but not required — we will train the right person
- Strong interest in aquatic ecosystems, water features, or landscaping maintenance
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and safety standards
- Good communication skills for teamwork and reporting observations effectively
- Time management skills to prioritize daily tasks efficiently
- Willingness to learn about pond equipment operation and troubleshooting techniques
- Demonstrated mechanical knowledge with experience handling equipment repair and maintenance tasks
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and basic plumbing or electrical work
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining safety standards
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
