Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm, providing detailed descriptions of dishes and beverages.
- Take accurate food and drink orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted clearly.
- Serve food and beverages efficiently, maintaining high standards of presentation and quality.
- Process sales transactions accurately, including cash handling, credit card processing, and upselling to enhance guest experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols.
- Provide expert beverage service, including cocktail mixing, wine knowledge, spirits experience, and drink service to elevate the guest experience.
- Assist with food preparation and kitchen support when needed, demonstrating culinary experience and food industry knowledge.
- Foster guest relations through attentive service, addressing concerns promptly and ensuring satisfaction throughout their visit.
- Support team members by managing time effectively during busy periods and contributing to a positive work environment.
Experience
- Previous food service experience in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality setting is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is essential for processing transactions smoothly.
- Experience in fine dining or upscale restaurant environments will be advantageous.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to upsell menu items confidently and professionally.
- Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques is desirable.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining attention to detail with math skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively during high-volume periods while maintaining quality standards.
- Food safety certification or knowledge of sanitation practices is a plus.
