Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience, nonprofit experience preferred
- Public speaking and presentation skills
- Ability to proactively seek and develop new Donor Partners and Collaborators via phone, in person visits, and email outreach
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software
- CRM Database Software
- Solid organizational, project management skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an eye for accuracy

Position Summary
This position is not client-facing and does not provide direct client services.
This leadership role focuses on donor engagement (fundraising), and relationship-building with churches, community partners, and supporters. Responsibilities include cultivating donor relationships, coordinating mission-aligned events, identifying outreach opportunities, managing external partnerships, and strengthening community connections that increase financial support, volunteer engagement, and awareness of Caris’ mission.
Specific job responsibilities include:
Outreach
- Attend, coordinate and support events for Caris donor partners and collaborators focus on topics that align to the Caris mission and increase donor engagement
- Identify and coordinate executive mission aligned outreach engagements, i.e., events, podcast, radio, video, etc.
- Partners include churches and other religious aligned organizations
- Manage the “book of 600+” outside external organizations, community collaborators, identifying viable partnerships that fuel Caris’ volunteer engagement, including board members and primarily monetary donations
Event participation may include several responsibilities including but not limited to:
- Staffing donor focused booth display and discussing the Caris mission and volunteer engagement
- Speaking to groups of various sizes to present the Caris mission and services
- Visiting potential partners and collaborators to promote the Caris mission and available services
- Accepting monetary donations on behalf of Caris and properly processing the payments per policy
- Discussions with potential clients to help them understand the services provided by Caris
- Act as an industry expert to identify and actively participate in key mission aligned industry events and important days on the calendar
Volunteer recruitment, training and usage
- Identify, train and coordinate apolitical faith-based Caris volunteers, CRM database and outreach schedule
- Detailed oversight and reporting on the activities and availability of these volunteers is critical
“Alumni” Recruitment for Volunteers, Case Studies, and Group Coordination
- Outreach to former clients who are willing to support the ongoing mission through volunteer work, providing case studies for use in marketing Caris, working with active clients in a workshop setting, and general promotion of the mission
- Detailed oversight and reporting on the activities and availability of these volunteers is critical
Life-skill workshops for everyone!
- Lead and deliver workshops on financial literacy, labor & delivery, post-abortion healing, parenting, etc.
- Coordinate facilitators and presenters
- Manage scheduling, logistics, and workshop delivery
- Track attendance, participation, and outcomes
- Ensure program quality and consistency
- Promote workshops and drive client engagement
- Promote groups and workshops to current Caris clients and encourage participation
- Track and report on the participation and success of these groups and workshops
Feedback & media capture
- Collect client testimonials and feedback, i.e., clients, volunteers, etc. (with consent)
- Support public-facing reviews in line with organizational policy
Location, Hours & Pay Scale:
Office location
- 111 N. Wabash, Suite 1501, Chicago
Hours: Part Time
- 24 hours per week Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday on site in-office
- Some responsibilities for this position may occur outside regular office hours and may include evenings, weekends, holidays, office closures, travel, outreach activities, event support, and light lifting. Flex time is available when work is required outside standard business hours.
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
