Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Worker/Order Selector to join our dynamic distribution team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently selecting, packing, and preparing orders for shipment while maintaining a safe and organized warehouse environment. Duties
- Operate equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery to load, unload, and transport materials safely within the warehouse.
- Use RF scanners and warehouse management systems to accurately pick, pack, and process orders for shipping and receiving.
- Select items from designated storage locations with precision using order picker tools and mechanical knowledge to ensure correct quantities and quality standards.
- Prepare orders by packing materials securely, labeling packages correctly, and ensuring compliance with shipping requirements.
- Assist with inventory management tasks including stocking shelves, conducting quality control checks, and maintaining accurate stock levels.
- Support warehouse distribution activities by loading trucks efficiently and unloading incoming shipments while adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace by following proper materials handling procedures and safety guidelines at all times.
Experience
- Prior experience working in a warehouse environment or distribution center is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, and heavy equipment operation such as reach trucks or forklifts is highly desirable.
- Hands-on experience with order picking & packing, shipping & receiving processes, and inventory control enhances your effectiveness in this role.
- Mechanical aptitude or knowledge of warehouse equipment operation supports efficient handling of materials and safety compliance.
- Previous roles involving heavy lifting, load & unload activities, or warehouse supervision experience are advantageous but not required.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including standing for long periods, lifting heavy items safely, and working in a fast-paced environment is essential.
