Educational Aide Job Description
Saint Ignatius of Antioch Elementary School is looking for a full-time educational aide in our kindergarten through eighth grade school. A minimum of a high school degree is required for this position.
The ideal candidate will:
· Have experience as an educational aide and be certified as an Educational Aide in the State of Ohio (or willingness to be certified). Equivalent experience in a classroom setting, daycare, or preschool is a plus.
· Have a clean BCI/FBI background check and obtain VIRTUS training (if you do not currently have the training).
· Assist in teaching students all core subjects to the students in their assigned classrooms. Core subjects consist of Math, Reading, Writing, Social Studies, Science, and Religion.
· Assist with cafeteria and recess duties, grading papers, classroom preparation, and covering classes (and duties) as needed.
· Provide support in classroom management and behavior guidance.
· Help with individual and small group instruction.
· Assist in creating a positive and nurturing learning environment.
· Support students in their educational and social development
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $12.00 - $16.00 per hour
