Work Now Staffing is looking to hire General Laborers for our Bloomingdale client.
Pay: $17.50 per hour
Shift: 2nd - 3:30pm - 12:00am, Monday - Friday, Overtime as needed
Job Details:
The Warehouse Associate plays an essential role in the warehouse operations. They are responsible for performing a variety of tasks, including receiving, sorting, packing and shipping materials. Attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, and commitment to maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment will contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming materials and supplies, verifying accuracy and quality against purchase orders or delivery documents
- Sort and organize materials in designated locations, ensuring proper storage and easy accessibility
- Pack and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Utilize warehouse management systems or manual documentation to record inventory transactions and maintain accurate records
- Assist in loading and unloading trucks, ensuring proper handling and storage of materials
- Conduct inventory counts and assist in performing regular cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy
- Follow established procedures and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize warehouse processes and enhance productivity
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse, including sweeping, organizing shelves, and disposing of packaging materials
- Assist in other warehouse-related tasks as assigned by supervisors
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred but not required
- Detail-oriented with the ability to follow instructions accurately
- Physical stamina to perform manual tasks, including lifting, carrying, and moving heavy objects
- Basic computer skills to utilize inventory management systems or other warehouse software
- Strong teamwork and communication skills to work effectively with colleagues and supervisors
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Flexibility to work different shifts and overtime as needed
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks or forklifts, is a plus but not required
- Commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work environment and following established safety protocols
