The Quality technician is responsible for performing assigned quality inspections which could include receiving new product and returns, in- process and final inspection; tracking and documenting NCMRs for final disposition during MRB; and tracking all quality issues that occur on the production floor with continual improvement and customer satisfaction as the ultimate goal.
Key Duties
- Conducts the quality inspection programs for in-process materials and components, new product launch processes and final quality inspection.
- Conducts the quality receiving inspection program for raw materials ensuring that all incoming materials are received into the ERP system, and that the material matches the Purchase Order in quantity and type per the procedure.
- Resolves all damaged or defective parts from NCMR areas, including purchased parts, raw materials or those defects found during manufacturing.
- Oversees calibration and testing programs.
- Implements measures to improve inspection methods, equipment/tool performance, product quality and efficiency.
- Responsible for all Job Packets when they reach Final Inspection. Each job packet is audited to ensure it is traveling through production per ISO requirements. All Job Packets are to be filed by work order number.

Experience & Education & skills

Associate's Degree along with at least 4 years of quality experience.

Prior experience working in an ISO9901:2015 environment along with prior auditing experience a plus

Excellent problem solving and root cause analysis skills, including 5Y

2 years of investigating quality issues

Previous experience with metal fabrication manufacturing inspection

Continuous improvement certification preferred (yellow belt or higher) or previous lean training

Knowledge of Sharepoint and Microsoft systems preferred
