After the patient’s plan of care has been determined by the team leader (MD/APN), the Medical Assistant performs various designated patient care activities necessary in caring for the personal needs as well as provides a variety of clinical and clerical services to patients and staff members in the department. Assists the Medical Providers in providing treatments to patients
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- High School graduate required
- Medical Assistant Certification from an accredited program
- Maintain current CPR certification
- Six months experience in wound ostomy preferred.
- Completes annual skill validation as well as safety and infection control procedures as well as maintain compliance in Hospital Annual Review, OSHA and Corporate Compliance
- Excellent attitude, interpersonal skills and communication abilities necessary to interact with patients, family members, physicians, and other hospital associates.
