The Performance Group is seeking an experienced PACKING LEAD for the Landisville, PA facility of a global logistics company! This person will play a critical role in supporting the Packing Supervisor to ensure smooth operation of the Packing department. Schedule: 1st shift
Pay Rate: $21/hr
Responsibilities: Coordinating daily execution of tasks related to specific projects or on-going department requirements and process development Reviewing and managing timecards for assigned team and working with the Packing Supervisor on attendance monitoring Performing project set-ups, kitting tasks, quality checks, changeovers, and reconciliations daily Ensuring timely and accurate kitting of products according to production schedules and client requirements Monitoring and tracking standards and holding production staff accountable for meeting Job Standards (quality, productivity and due date) Ensuring a clean, organized, and safe work environment and adherence to Lean principles Adhering to all company policies and procedures, including but not limited to Employee Handbook, Badge Use, Attendance, GMP, GDP, HIPAA, Safety and Security Guidelines Other duties as assigned
Qualifications: 1-2 years previous experience in Warehouse or Fulfillment industry highly preferred Knowledge of packing processes, kitting, quality control, GMP and safety procedures. Strong reading comprehension and mathematical skills to include addition, subtraction, division, multiplication and balance reconciliation. Highly organized with strong attention to detail. Familiarity with inventory management and lean manufacturing principles. Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Able to maintain correct product handling and production documentation procedures Must work overtime as needed
