About Veralux — and Why This Work Matters
Veralux Health is Arkansas's first dedicated whole-body MRI screening center, founded and led by two physicians. Most people meet the healthcare system only after something has already gone wrong; we exist to change that starting point. We give people a detailed picture of their health while they are well — and then, just as importantly, we sit down and help them understand it.
Data alone is not insight. Our work is turning health intelligence into genuine understanding, and video is one of the ways we communicate this. We are small, founder-led, and early enough that your work will shape how our voice sounds.
The Engagement
We are looking for an independent video editor to take on our weekly episode pipeline on an ongoing contract basis. We film; you turn the raw footage into finished work that people actually watch to the end.
You set your own hours, work from wherever you like, use your own equipment and software, and have flexibility to maintain other clients. We care about what gets delivered and when — not how or when you do it.
On scope: we choose topics and set content direction. You are not being asked to invent the strategy. You are being asked to execute it exceptionally well and quickly, and to tell us when something is not working.
The Deliverable
One episode package per week, delivered on an agreed date:
- One long-form edit — roughly 45 minutes of two-camera raw footage cut down to a tight, polished 20–30 minute final video.
- Six to ten vertical social cutdowns (20–45 seconds) with accurate, well-styled captions.
- Multicamera sync, pacing and dead-air removal, audio cleanup and leveling, color matching, lower thirds, intro and outro.
- Hand-corrected captions. Medical terminology and our brand names must be exact — automatic captions will not be good enough.
- Develop engaging motion graphics and visual effects to enhance storytelling and viewer engagement
- Thumbnail options against our brand template, plus draft titles, descriptions, and chapters for our review.
- Applicable revisions per episode, incorporated within an agreed turnaround.
- Supplemental content capture at our Rogers facility quarterly, and advising on lighting, framing, and audio so the footage we capture keeps getting better.
What We're Looking For
- Demonstrated ability to edit efficiently. Speed with quality is the core of this engagement — we would rather work with a fast, good editor than a slow elaborate one, and our flat per-episode rate is built to reward that.
- Your own editing workstation and professional software (Premiere Pro, Descript, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut), and fluency with multicamera workflows and vertical reframing.
- A portfolio. Please include at least one long-form talking-head edit and several vertical cutdowns you personally produced.
- Genuine understanding of what makes people keep watching — hooks, pacing, and retention, not just clean cuts.
- Absolute discretion. Any on-site work happens inside a medical facility, and protecting patient privacy is non-negotiable.
- Reliability and clear communication. A weekly publishing rhythm depends entirely on predictable delivery.
- Able to come to Rogers, Arkansas occasionally. Northwest Arkansas preferred.
Ideal (but not required — apply anyway)
- Experience producing content for a healthcare, wellness, professional services, or personal brand.
- Familiarity with YouTube analytics and social scheduling tools.
Engagement Terms
- Paid per episode package on a flat rate, invoiced monthly. This is a 1099 engagement; you are responsible for your own taxes, and no benefits are provided.
- You control your own schedule and working methods and are free to take on other clients.
- You provide your own equipment and software.
- Terms are set out in a written independent contractor agreement, including ownership of finished work and confidentiality.
