American Traveler is seeking an experienced CVOR Surgical Tech (CST) for a 13-week travel assignment at a Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated academic medical center in Greenville, SC, requiring NBSTSA certification and cardiovascular surgical experience.

Work setting is a large 864-bed acute care teaching hospital designated as a Level I Adult Trauma Center and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center with Magnet® nursing status

Assignment is within the CVOR department, which averages approximately 3 cardiac cases per day
-
Cardiovascular procedures include CABG, aortic aneurysm repair, atherectomy, ASD repair, cardiomyoplasty, ECMO, mitral valve replacement, pericardial window, and VAD management
-
First Assist roles are part of the scope of practice for this position

Day shift schedule: 4x10-hour shifts, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM

On-call is required after shift hours Friday–Sunday during scheduled weeks, with a minimum of two call days per week and 1–2 weekends every 6-week schedule

Floating is required per facility policy; staff may float to the Main OR if CVOR volume is low, and only to units for which they are qualified and trained

Epic EMR is used; 1 year of Epic experience is required

Active SC or Compact RN/Surgical Tech license required

CST certification through NBSTSA required; pending certification is not accepted

Current BLS certification required

Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience required, including Level I Trauma experience

Minimum 1 year of Epic EMR experience required

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from Prisma Health Greenville to be eligible for this position

Two professional references required for consideration

Valid driver's license and Social Security Number required for consideration

Perform scrub and/or first assist duties during complex open-heart and cardiovascular surgical procedures

The facility is home to the region's only solid organ transplant center and is a premier referral center for Upstate South Carolina
