A well-established 85-bed Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to provide strong clinical leadership and oversee all nursing operations. Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and oversight for all nursing operations within an 85-bed Skilled Nursing Facility.
- Partner with the Nursing Home Administrator and interdisciplinary leadership team to achieve exceptional clinical, regulatory, and operational outcomes.
- Ensure continuous compliance with federal and state regulations while maintaining survey readiness.
- Oversee resident care, clinical documentation, infection prevention, quality assurance, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Recruit, mentor, coach, and develop nursing leaders and frontline staff.
- Build a positive, collaborative culture focused on accountability, communication, and resident-centered care.
- Drive improvements in Quality Measures, staffing, employee engagement, and resident outcomes.
- Lead confidently through change while effectively managing multiple priorities and competing deadlines.
- Support the care of residents with behavioral health diagnoses, psychiatric disorders, dementia, and other medically complex conditions.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license with eligibility to practice in the state.
- Previous experience as a Director of Nursing (DON) or Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) in a Skilled Nursing Facility.
- Strong working knowledge of CMS regulations, the state survey process, and long-term care regulatory compliance.
- Proven ability to work independently, exercise sound clinical judgment, and adapt in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Demonstrated success developing high-performing nursing teams and mentoring clinical leaders.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience working with residents with behavioral health diagnoses, psychiatric disorders, dementia, and complex medical needs preferred.
