Job Description
- Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30 am-5:00 pm full-time with benefits
- Late night: 2 nights a week minimum (each person has 2 late nights to cover)
- Triaging patients - Patient assessments on new and established patients
- Prescriptions: refills to pharmacies via EMR.
- EKG’s.
- Administration and Monitoring of Injections; scheduling follow-up shot appointments
- Phlebotomy
- Assisting patients with medical forms: patient assistance forms for medications, short and long-term disability forms, FMLA forms, etc.
- Patient education
- Keep the patient rooms and nursing areas clean and straight and stocked with supplies and patient education materials.
- Keep all scanning & filing (PA's, forms, records, charts, etc.) up-to-date & in a timely manner.
- Accessing medical records from other hospitals as needed for follow-up appts.
- Be willing to learn nursing procedures such as insulin pumps & devices used to evaluate patient’s continuous blood sugars
- Reviewing patient charts with physicians and taking verbal orders for treatment options; notifying patients and or family of orders & instructions.
- Assisting the physicians in the patient rooms
