POSITION SUMMARY: The Customer Service and Collections Assistant (CSCA) assist clients with services issues and help to maintain a high customer retention level. The CSCA will be responsible for taking incoming calls from our customer base, pursue collection of aged receivables and address general customer payments issues. The CSCA will be required to develop a comprehensive understanding of our customers and know when issues need to be escalated to the management staff for resolution.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Daily duties can include:
· Provide support to customers using the dedicated web based LEVANTA Payment Platform for profile updates, new registrations, payment confirmations and general data updates.
· Collaborate with the accounts receivable team to develop efficient methods for handling issues and maintaining data accuracy.
· Detect and identify solutions to manage accounts with overdue balances to mitigate revenue losses.
· Work on special short-term projects to offer customized support to customers with specific needs or requirements
· Monitor the customer satisfaction levels and develop methods for increasing efficiency.
· Assist in creating ways for delivering excellent customer service to irate or problematic customers
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
· Associate degree or College degree preferred.
· 2+ years’ experience in customer service role.
· Knowledge in Accounting processes, excel reports, billing & collection, clients' accounts reconciliations and problem solving.
· Ability to work well in a team environment.
· Strong sense of professionalism and discretion required.
· Strong technical, organizational and time management skills in addition to excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish scoped to a professional business environment. Must be an effective listener, clear and direct.
· A high level of integrity, accuracy, dependability, enthusiasm, and confidentiality.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
· Maturity to adapt to change as well as variable work schedule, including ability, to
analyze problems and provide concise decision or ideas.
