job Overview
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing shipping logistics, including receiving, packing, and dispatching orders while ensuring on-time delivery and compliance with safety standards. This role is critical to maintaining inventory integrity and supporting overall warehouse logistic functions.
Duties
- Manage end-to end shipping process, including warehouse organization, product distribution, and inventory management.
- Create/manage all crucial documents such as bills of lading, advanced shipping notices, pack slips, and customer product labeling guidelines and shipping requirements.
- Coordinate/schedule outgoing orders ensuring accurate counts and timely delivery.
- Organize and stock items in designated warehouse locations, maintaining an orderly environment.
- Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labeling items according to customer specifications.
- Load and unload product from trucks and receive product in as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely processing of orders.
- Optimize packaging and shipping workflows to minimize costs, maintain inventory accuracy and reduce shipping errors
- Use shipping software/ERP software to track, route, and prioritize orders effectively.
- Work on special projects as needed.
- Adhere/implement safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a shipping/receiving role - picking, packing, order fulfillment logistics, and warehouse inventory management skills
- Previous experience using UPS Worldship, FedEx, DHL shipping sites.
- Familiarity with Netsuites or other ERP systems.
- Knowledge of international shipping desirable.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and order pickers safely.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods during shifts.
- Computer aptitude.
