WHAT YOU'LL OWN
Driver Leadership
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of CDL drivers — setting the tone for safety, accountability, and performance
- Handle driver relations, conduct route observations, and support performance appraisals and pay recommendations
- Recruit and onboard new drivers, ensuring they're set up for success from day one
Route Optimization & Scheduling
- Build and manage weekly driver schedules, re-routing dynamically to maintain coverage and efficiency
- Conduct route analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and present recommendations to the Transportation Manager
- Monitor fleet performance and support truck maintenance scheduling to keep the operation running smoothly
HOS, DOT & Compliance
- Monitor driver Hours of Service through onboard systems to ensure full DOT compliance
- Maintain driver qualification files and support accident investigations
- Enforce federal, state, and company transportation regulations — you'll be the compliance backbone of the team
Customer & Operational Excellence
- Resolve delivery complaints and maintain strong customer relationships
- Contribute to budget planning and transportation reporting
- Step in to drive a Class A or straight truck when operationally needed
WHAT YOU BRING
- 2–3 years of supervisory experience leading CDL drivers — you've managed a driver workforce and know what it takes
- Hands-on route scheduling experience — you understand how to build efficient, coverage-first schedules
- Solid DOT/HOS knowledge — compliance isn't a checkbox for you, it's a standard
- Class A CDL preferred
- Associate degree or some college coursework
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; comfortable with onboard fleet/routing systems
- Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment, including temperature-controlled areas (33–38°F)
