Job Summary
Join our dynamic construction team as a Manhole Pourer Laborer and be a vital part of underground infrastructure projects! In this role, you will assist with the pouring and finishing of concrete manholes, ensuring precise placement and quality standards. Duties
- Prepare work sites by setting up forms, safety barriers, and equipment for concrete pouring of manholes
- Operate heavy machinery such as loaders, backhoes, excavators, and front loader trucks to transport materials and assist with site excavation
- Pour, spread, and finish concrete within designated forms, ensuring smooth surfaces and proper curing
- Read and interpret blueprints, construction plans, and utility layouts to accurately position manholes
- Assist with utility locating using pipe lasers or other detection tools to avoid underground hazards
- Support pipe laser alignment and plumbing tasks to ensure proper pipeline connections within manholes
- Follow safety guidelines diligently, including welding safety procedures when necessary, and maintain a clean work environment
Skills
- Proficiency in heavy equipment operation including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, forklifts, and front loader trucks
- Experience with concrete finishing techniques for durable and smooth surfaces
- Ability to read blueprints, construction drawings, and utility maps accurately
- Knowledge of pipeline installation, plumbing systems, and oil & gas infrastructure is a plus
- Skilled in utility locating methods using pipe lasers or similar tools
- Familiarity with construction site safety protocols and OSHA standards
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions precisely
