Mother Bear's Pizza was established in Bloomington, IN in 1973. In 2024 we expanded for the fist time outside of Bloomington to Columbus, IN. Our goal is to provide award-winning pizza in a laid-back, playful atmosphere.
We are seeking a skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our team at our brand new Columbus location. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service and an attention to detail. This role is a great opportunity for those who enjoy working in a fast-paced kitchen environment and are dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of food safety and quality.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, such as cutting and chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, making salad dressing, etc.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to food safety guidelines and ensuring all equipment is sanitized and in good working order.
- Assist in food preparation and cooking, including frying, sautéing, and roasting, as needed.
- Work effectively in a team environment to ensure efficient food service and maintain a positive attitude towards colleagues and customers.
- Monitor food temperatures and maintain a clean and organized kitchen.
**Qualifications**
- Prior experience as a line cook or prep cook.
- Knowledge of food safety and handling practices.
- Proficiency with knife skills and the ability to maintain a clean and organized kitchen.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment and maintain a positive attitude.
